I found this image of the day that Queen Isabel and King Fernando take possession of The Alhambra Palace in Granada. This exact scene wasn't in The Luna Legacy but it gave me other ideas of scenes with my character Monte Rossa and Queen Isabel.
The palace is on the hilltop in the background but this painting does the palace no justice. It is in fact one of the most beautiful palaces in the world and well worth a visit.
I love how Queen Isabel is dressed in all her finery to take over the palace, yet on most days she is dressed very simply. All the medieval costumes are rich in colour and fabric. Oh, if only we could travel back in time ...
