Cueva del Gato, near Benojan, in Ronda right in the heart of beautiful Andalucia is one of the caves that inspired The Grotto's Secret. The Cueva del Gato - the cat’s cave - is one of those gorgeous river pools that you often find in the depths of the Andalusian countryside. I used this combined with other imaginary caves to conjur up the goings on in my secret grotto.
My medieval character swims in a pool just like this one in Rhonda in Spain, except there are other things going on in there too. Find out what happens in my historical conspiracy thriller ~ The Grotto's Secret ...
This lovely image of looking out ~ from the inside of a cave or grotto gave me the idea for my character to hide things inside ... what does she hide?
Cueva del Gato is placed between the towns of Montejaque and Benaoján, more or less 15 kilometres away from Ronda. I liked to think of the cave entrance as the 'eye' for my secret grotto.
You may also want to poke around the other weird things that I imagined when inspired to write The Grottos' Secret. When you read the book and find out what else goes on here, drop me a line and I will include a picture of you and your book on my readers board!
